Reason #2.....Hold your loved ones close. What if one day they go missing? How many of you sat and watched the evening news with your family's to get updates on Chase ? Cooper? Cathy? How many times did you stop what you were doing to check facebook for updates? Did you lay awake in your nice warm bed wondering if they were cold outside? I did too. That helpless feeling that there was nothing I could do. The bear clan will use the quilt money to make sure they have enough gas to get to these searches. How terrible would it be if a loved one goes missing and the bear clan can't come because they don't have enough gas to get to you in your time of need.
The Company's Message
Reason # 1.....I feel like something is missing today......Although I am having a Grandma And Papa day with Claire my quilt isn't far from my heart. So every day i will share with you one reason why I am so passionate about this quilt and the good it can do for the bear clan and the people it can touch. In no specific order......here we go......I have had many young girls in my life. As we talked about what they wanted to be when they grew up none of them ever said I want to be a prostitute. Believe it or not. They had dreams of being a nurse, a chef, a vet, a police officer, a homecare worker. And no matter what your beliefs are its true. These little girls grow up. Life throws them curve balls and low blow punches. They find acceptance in the arms of a pimp. They find comfort. Whatever the case is they find family. I am sure they are not where they want to be. And although it's their choice, how many of us have made bad choices in our lives. How do you get out of that lifestyle once your in it? Your family has abandoned you, Maybe they didn't have family to begin with. Maybe the men that pick them up at night is the only world they know as its something they leart from their parents. Maybe this is the only form of love they know. It was one bad choice.....So with the money from the quilt the bear clan will be able to give that lady who stands on the street corner a sandwich, something to drink and a piece of fruit. Maybe one day the hand that hands them the sandwhich will also hand them the tiny piece of love and acceptance that every young girl needs in life.
